This course will be train you to deal with an emergency situation.

Roles and responsibilities of a first aider

Breakdown:

Assessment: 1 Practical exam, 1 multiple choice exams

Location: Greens Pilates Movement Studios, Braintree

Tutor: Yolande Green

Cost: £175

If you require monthly payment scheme of 3 payments of £70, final payment must be made before the practical exam day.

Overview:

This course will teach you how to respond to anything from a minor injury to an emergency situation – a skill that is vital in the fitness industry, whether you are self employed or work for a gym.

This Emergency First Aid in the Workplace qualification will be valid for 3 years from the day of your certification.

YMCA Says “The aim of this qualification is to recognise the skills, knowledge and competences needed for an individual to administer emergency first aid in the workplace. This includes being able to assess, diagnose and treat casualties before the arrival of medically trained staff”

 

You Will Learn To:

  • Conduct a scene survey
  • Conduct a casualty survey
  • Perform first aid for a choking casualty
  • Perform first aid for an unresponsive casualty
  • Put a casualty in the recovery position
  • Perform CPR
  • Identifying and managing casualties with external bleeding, shock, minor burns and scalds
